When the Going Gets Tough, Get Fit!

As many people are loosing their jobs in the down turn of the economy, many people are choosing to take on completely different experiences and make the most out of the situation.  I love this idea from Alex Light, who lost his job and therefore decided to open up a company called Bad Times Bootcamp.  This free bootcamp program is designed for unemployed individuals, helping to keep them active and positive.  If all the sudden you lost your job, what would you decide to do?

Keep Going

Some days business doesn’t go the way we desire.  Bernard Lachance has tried to become a famous recording artist for 15 years – renting out theatres and then selling his tickets, and more recently inviting Oprah to his concert in Chicago.  Lachance finally got his big break yesterday when he was invited to the Oprah Show and made his American debut.  This video of Bernard Lachance should remind you to always hold on to your visions and even with a few bumps along the road, if you keep going, you can succeed.

Superb example of niche marketing

I find so many business owners resistant to the idea of choosing niche markets to focus on. They worry that they will miss out on opportunities. But the opposite is true. You have limited time and money so you need to know what niche markets you are focusing on to maximize your revenue potential.

Last week’s Springwise newsletter showcases a company who totally gets the concept of niche marketing – We Shoot Bottles! I think this is a brilliant business model!

Great resource!

My friend, Tatsuya Nakagawa at Atomica Creative,  just sent out his newsletter with a great resource included: Small Biz Trends – Most outrageously creative ways to save money or grow your business.  Check it out here and get inspired!
